With Release0, you can secure and control your chatbot's access using two powerful tools: password protection and automatic expiration. Ideal for limited-time promotions, internal forms, or exclusive demos.


🔐 Add a Password to Restrict Access

Need to lock your agent behind a gate? Add a password so only authorized users can interact.

Great use cases:

  • 🔒 Client prototypes: share early builds without making them public.
  • 🧑‍💼 Internal HR or training tools: restrict usage to staff.
  • 🎫 Private events: control RSVPs for webinars or invite-only sessions.

How to set it up:

  1. Open the Agent Configuration panel by clicking your agent’s name (top left in the flow editor).
  2. Click on Password.
  3. Type the password you want to use and save.

👉 Result: users must enter the correct password before they can engage with your chatbot.


⏳ Set an Expiration Date for Your Bot

Some bots are born to retire. Schedule when your agent will automatically shut down and redirect or display a custom message.

When to use expiration:

  • 📅 Limited-time offers: automatically deactivate your bot after the sale ends.
  • 📝 Event signups: close forms after the registration deadline.
  • 🎯 Internal campaigns: retire onboarding or survey flows when they’re done.
  • 🎄 Seasonal bots: launch campaigns for holidays, tax season, or back-to-school.

How to configure it:

  1. Open the agent’s Configuration screen.
  2. Click on Expiration.
  3. Choose a date using formats like next Friday, in 3 days, or 2025-12-31 23:59.
  4. Optionally add:
    • A custom message (e.g., "This bot is no longer available")
    • Or a redirect URL (e.g., to your homepage or landing page)

🛎️ Once expired, your bot becomes inaccessible. Visitors will see the message you set or get redirected instantly.
